I first read Dune in 1998, I'd heard about it somewhere before but the fact that it was a story located in a desert is what intrigued me (i have a fascination with deserts...translating in me loving desert movies...) but I bought the book and honestly it was a little hard to warm up to it at first not being used to Herbert's style, but after the first 3 chapters I was hooked. I rented the David Lynch movie right after I finished it and re-read the book again after.

But due to other things in life, I didn't get to read Dune MEssiah or COD till only a few months ago!!! When I heard the COD miniseries was going to be on Scifi channel.

But ever since then...I thikn ive become really obsessed. I've just finished reading House Atreides and want to go through all the prequels, re-read books 1-3 and then tackle books 4-6. :)
