The day started out with Robert having to take Paul (3) to the dentist because he had an abcess that wouldn't go away or respond to the antibiotics. SO this morning Robert called and they took him in to the office quick and I had to wait at home for the cardiologist to call. Paul had a tooth that got hit a while back and the nerve died and the abcess was the rotting of the root...YUCK! They pulled it. The dentist sent home the x-rays and told me that he was sorry and didn't want to upset me.

I went to the cardiologist and they ran an EKG and an echocardiogram and with those test results and the results from yesterday and even more blood taken today they gave me some information. It looks like the left side of my heart is damamged and I have 4 meds to take for now plus the antiobiotics. He thinks that it will repair itself within 6 months on the meds and taking it easy. He also said that it was a lot of damage and that I was lucky to have had an uneventful delivery. He wasnts/demands that I have a tubal as soon as possible. He said that from the amount of damage done that if I was to get pregnant again it usually gets worse the next time and that the damage starts earlier and earlier in additional pregnancies. I am more than freaked out by that information.

It is true that we had talked about stopping at 7 or at least having 1 more and then stopping at 8 but to have someone tell you to have atubal or you might die if you get pregnant is just another thing I didn't need. It is possible he may be making more of it than needs to be but he was very straight forward and very open to big families and I don't think he was.

I have an appointment with my midwife tomorrow and I haven't told her anything that is going on yet.

Christine
