In reply to: Beth 's message, "Well, Teiguen is immunized and ready for school..." on 15:39:00 08/01/06 Tue

that no matter what I have to give up my kids will NEVER be on state insurance again. When Nathan was a newborn he qualified until he was 1 for medicaide so I decided to swallow my pride and accept it. Heaven knew we could use a break. When I took Ryan to the doctor I was treated politely and when I took Nathan I was treated like white trash off the street. Then when we didn't qualify and he was on my insurance at the school I couldn't get them to remove the medicaide sticker from the outside of his chart (pre HIPA). Everytime we went in I was treated like crap had to argue that I didn't need a medicaide card because we had private insurance etc. When Chris lost his job we went on CHIP and it was the same crap. Granted the doctor's and nurses were never this way, but I knew either I or one of the office staff was going to be in tears everytime we went in. We had to change doctors shortly after that because ours moved out of town. I switched them back to the school insurance and have been treated good as gold. The new doctor doesn't accept medicaide so I don't know if it would be different, but I don't intend to find out.

Glad to know Teiguen is good to go. I can't find Nathan's birth cirtificate. Fortunately it's only expensive not hard to get a copy - LOL - they charge $16 to print a page off the computer! I've got to go get it tomorrow because registration is tomorrow and Thursday.
