I know there are out there CofCs, but WOW - same sex relationships strengthen your congregation - WOW!!! The thing about CofC is that there is no governing body over them. Each congregation is left to elect their own elders to govern the church. Scripture however is supposed to be the defining doctrine. By any chance do you know the name of the congregation - just curiosity. There is one here like that - they go so far as to send memebers of all the other CofCs in town hate mail because we are doing it all wrong.

Sorry to hear about your friends. Honestly I don't keep up with friends from HS well. ACU where I went to college though sends out an alumni newsletter. People can submit things like marriage, babies, deaths etc. that are printed and mailed quarterly. That makes it easier to keep up with college friends.
