i live in mansfield, notts,
about 4.5 mile from clipstone, if you want me to try and help, i will oblige,
but the surprising thing !! my grandad, was from abertillary,, and came to this area, kirkby-in-ashfield, his surname was STAPLES,, (apparently, his brother had a cobblers shop in the village) he must have moved here when he was a teenager, or very early twenties,, like yourself, ive yet to figure why he would move to this to work down the pit, when there is a pit or two in the area,
terratorial army ?? i'll ask my mum... shes 75, but used to visit my grandads sister who lived in alma street,
