Challenges
CHALLENGE RULES:
  • Foals may NOT challenge or be challenged.
  • All challenges must be accepted unless good reason (eg no computer access, in another challenge) is provided. However, challenges to the death do NOT have to be accepted (you can agree on other terms if you wish).
  • Challenges may be fought out until one player surrenders, fought until someone judges, or have an outside party flip a coin. These terms must be agreed to by both parties.
  • You may challenge to release a captive, to gain a captive, a position, or an object. Anything else may be challenged for, but they do not have to accept it.
  • If the person you are challenging does not initally reply in 3 days, go to their territory and notify them. If they still have not replied by the fifth day, they forfeit the challenge unless they have notified someone that they were going to be gone. Also, if the person you challenged goes three FULL days (after the challenge has started) without posting, they automatically forfeit.
  • You may challenge for something as many times as you want, but they only have to accept your challenge the first three times.
  • The challenger may state any terms and conditions they like (eg no powers, if the challenge is unresolved a coin can be flipped, etc). The challenged can request an alteration to those terms, and it will go through if the challenger agrees. If the challenger does not agree, the challenger and the challenged can agree on an impartial judge to either flip a coin or use their own judgement to make a decision.
  • These terms may be changed at any point during the challenge but only if both challenger and challenged agree to do so.
  • IF YOU CANNOT FIGHT A CHALLENGE, YOU MAY ONLY BE EXCUSED FROM A CHALLENGE FOR A PARTICULAR THING ONE TIME. After the first excuse, you have to appoint someone to take the challenge for you.

    Alright, I'm getting really SICK of this 'win be default' thing.

    Dude, people, this was made to prevent someone from magically DISAPPEARING during a challenge. Please, don't go so spastic over it! And 'innocent bystanders', leave it up to those people INVOLVED in the challenge to decide if they want to accept the default.

    The young, lean bay stallion canters disjointedly in, halting abruptly. His appearance is in disarray- his coat is dusty and covered in grime, his mane and tail are matted and wild. But his eyes are like stone, immutable and determined.

    Inside, however, the story is different. His heart is pounding like thunder, and fear threatens to take control, and might have done, were it not for the stallion's harsh self-deprecations. Coward! Coward! You know what you've got to do, coward, so get on with it. That little niggling voice of doubt argues, however. He killed Myrakazan! I don't stand a chance! But the self-hatred wins over. Put it this way, chump. If you win, you're a hero, and you've gotten rid of a real scumbag. If you lose, well, the Evils get to pick an effective Lead Stallion. It's win-win.

    Stomping a front hoof as much to silence his own tirade as to assemble his challenge, he finally speaks. His voice is harsh, rough and seems so cold and lonely in this land of ferocity and heroism. "Ziraga, I challenge you to the death. If I win, Malussinn and True Evil are free, and True Evil gets the throne." And if I lose I'm dead...

    The King of the Lights halts, awaiting that golden stallion's response. "Ziraga!" he repeats. "Come face me!" He takes a deep breath, preparing himself for what he needs next to say. "I challenge you to a battle to the death. If I win, Malussinn becomes King again, True Evil is free, and DOL and myself are officially released. If you win... well, it would seem that I am dead."

    Slowly the flints of ebon steadily pelted down on the terra firma. Arching his neck slightly and huffing out loudly he neighed hoarsly from the chest. Lack of water caused his muzzle and vocals to parish. Haulting quickly he stared around eyes of a darkened putrid hue narrowed, tightly flexing the muscles around the pools. Taking no time to motion for a fight he reared up and pawed at the ground continuesly. Waiting for somebody to turn up. Waiting a second he turned around in a complete circle and charged ahead. Making a blind note of where he was going but not really noticing everything flashed by to quickly to understand and take in all at one time. Stealthily he closed into the forest and made his way through it, reappearing onto the challenge grounds. A neighed an eerie deep tone waiting for somebody to appear and answer his call. Evil suffocated his veins tightly intertwining through the maze. Blood only slightly trickling through, leaving the taste in his mouth a death not deserved, but yeared for by him. Urging his way forward he slowly paced looking in all directions with his poll feeding into his neck which was arched closely towards his chest. Breathing heavily out of antisipation and no patients to stop him from attacking the first thing that even remotely made a shift. Everything seemed not to flinch, went quiet. As if knowing the presence of this hellish being of a dark charcoal hue. Focusing mainly on his goal to defeat anything and everything that dared cross his path tonight. Melting into the backdrop, Shetan smiled deviously and continued to pace.

    Ahh, what a joy to be back! But I have not spilled blood for too long. The stark palomino canters slantily in, his elegant limbs barely tracing the ground as he moves.

    Quickly drawing to a halt, he rears with an elegant whinny. "Malussinn! I challenge you to a battle to the death! If I win... I get the throne, and your lovely daughter as my captive. If you kill me... well, I have nothing to give you other than my life if you succeed." A cruel grin lights his eyes, highlighting his delight. I can't wait.

    Slowly she draws to a halt, and rears, her carved hooves attacking the air. The mare whinnies her cry so it echoes off the cliff and down into the ravine below.
