I called the airlines and they said I could have three needles. Then Mom called and they said we could take as many as we wanted as long as we had a doc’s note. They also said to get there early so that they could go through all my med stuff. All they did was had me unzip ONE of my packs, peaked inside, didn’t look at the pumps or anything. Didn’t question all the needles. Didn’t ask for a doc note. Didn’t find Mom’s scissors or her needlepoint needles. Terry had some bandage cutter things that have no point whatsoever and they took those and that was that. We were very shocked at the poor job they did.

However, BWI was different then Oakland. I think they tightened things more after that guy tried to get in the cockpit and something happened at O’Hare (sp). All I can say is that this was one occasion I was thrilled to be in my wheelchair. When we got there the sky cab man came out and helped us with our bags since he was I was in a wheelchair. So he wheeled me inside and first thing I saw was a line with no and I mean NO end in site. The man wheeled me right up to the counter and my mom was like can we check in now? They let us do that at Oakland and he was like yeah, of course. Yahoo! We got to cut right to the front. Then we were trying to find our gate and go through security yadda yadda. We can’t find it so we start asking and everyone was like “this is the line” I swear I have never seen a line so long in my life. I had to have taken us like 5 minutes to get to the end of the line. When we got there we noticed there was a line just as long next to us and asked what that line was and we heard “this is the line to check your bags in” So without my wheelchair we would have had to wait in that line too!!!!!! The security line took a hour and half to get to the security gates. Where there were lots of national guards with there nice big guns, that was kinda weird. The security staff was wonderful, very friendly. They searched me more there had me stand up and I opened my bag for him and asked if he wanted to see the other one and he said no so I guess he figured it was ok since I offered to open it. Again though they didn’t question the needles or ask for a doc note.

Okkk I am WAY to in to detail and I am sure you wanted to know all of this.

Kinda funny note, the guy in front of us was rather interesting and semi-amusing. He was telling us how he would blow things up if he was a terrorist and what he would do where and junk and we were like, um, yeah, ok, sure. What the airline did do was when a flight was close to take off time they would walk up the line yelling “9am flights come with me” and they would go. His flight got called so he got to the security like 10 minutes before us. While I was waiting for mom and terry to get through security I noticed that they were searching his bag, I mean searching they had everything out. They guy was a ding dong cause when he was saying that to us a cop was walking by, not sure if he heard the guy or not.

Ok, I really should have edited this, me sorry, I get carried away
