With the exception of the name Elizabeth APPLEBY, I have no information on your Appleby Query dated Thursday 08 June 2000. I want you to know that my Great Grandmother Isabella (nee Appleby) NORRIS had a sister Elizabeth Appleby. Per records that I found in a county record book titled: Records of Births and Deaths in the Town of Bridgton, County of Cumberland, State of Maine, Elizabeth was born June 21, 1846 in Quebec. (Possibly Montreal, that is where an older sister, Henrietta Appleby was born). This is all I know about subject Elizabeth, except that her father was Francis APPLEBY, born 1823 England and her mother is identified as Elizabeth, born about 1826 Scotland, per the Isabella’s death record and the 1870 U.S. Census for Greenup Co., Kentucky, precinct No .2, p.51+.

There is another sister in the family Eleanor M, born in Quebec, (maybe Montreal), Sept. 6, 1829 and two brothers: Albert F. born about 1853 Maine and Charles M. born about 1867, Kentucky.

This is all the proven information I have on my Great Grand Mothers’ family.
