Cure to insomnia:
During day, get some valerian root from the garden. Chop it up into little bits, put those into a bowl and use a spoon to mash and grind it into powder. Put powder into a glass of room-temperature water and drink. If you can't drink it because it tastes too bitter, put in about a tablespoon of honey. If you drink it, you will feel relaxed in some time and won't have as many sleep problems.

Cure to being forced to eat nettle soup:
Actually, if you eat it, you might get sick from it and never have to eat it again. If you don't have this problem, pretend to eat it (put soup in mouth but don't swallow) and when the infirmary sister (probably Cicely) is looking elsewhere, spit the soup out the window.

Cure to a cut from that sharp corner on the Great Hall table:
Put some water and a bit of soap on it. (Note: this is really vital but it hurts a lot!!!) Lay a cotton or wool strip over the cut. This will stick to the water and you can keep it wet around the edges until the cut heals. Plus, if you were bleeding a lot, you can take the cloth strip with all the blood and scare the elders!
