Subject: oil spill

can we talk about the oil spill or is that a 'forbidden subject'?
so who makes the rules here anyway?
for a while i have been cutting down on products that use petroleum. goodness knows it has seeped into everything. i don't think i can stop using all of it but a slow down helps. i start with cleaning stuff.
i really wish there would be more choices in products. i hope there will be. i have noticed that the big companies are making 'green' products now. how do i know who to trust and not? do i give them benefit of hope?
