I've been a fan of Buffy for a long time and have seen her sing Many times,most notably at the old Newport Folk Festivals I have some great photos I took of her at the 1964 festival ....By the way I have many Indian friends and most consider "Native American" to be a degratory term..FYI, as a kid in Brookln I remember a sizable Mohawk/Italian population which resulted from both cultures doing the high iron work on NYC skyscrappers....
In the HBO miniseries " Into The West" I played a teacher at the Carlile Indian School..In researching my role a spoke to several Elders who remembered these schools and the horrors inflicted on them..,
I'm a supporter of NARF[Native American Rights Foundation]especially enjoyig their poker runs...
Most Indians I know feel the greatest gift of the white man can be described in two words Harley Davidson!
