Another awards show, another set of pack-leading nominations for Alicia Keys and India.Arie.

Keys is ahead of all others at the 16th annual Soul Train Music Awards with four nods, while Arie, the late Aaliyah and the Isley Brothers featuring Ron Isley follow with three apiece, according to a spokesperson for the March 20 event.

The three ladies, plus Angie Stone, are up for Best R&B/Soul Single, Female, and they'll be competing for Best R&B/Soul Album, Female, with Sade's Lover's Rock. Aaliyah and Keys are also contenders for R&B/Soul or Rap Album of the Year for Aaliyah and Songs in A Minor, respectively, while Arie and Keys will face off against Fabolous and Bubba Sparxxx in the Best R&B/Soul or Rap New Artist category.

The Isley Brothers featuring Ron Isley received recognition in the categories Best R&B/Soul Single by a Group, Band or Duo for "Contagious"; Best R&B/Soul Album by a Group, Band or Duo for Eternal; and the Michael Jackson Award for Best R&B/Soul or Rap Music Video for "Contagious."

Destiny's Child, Brian McKnight, Usher, Ja Rule, Jay-Z, Musiq Soulchild and Jagged Edge have two nominations apiece.

Arie is also favored to take home the most Grammy Awards on February 27 with a leading seven nominations, while Keys has six (see "U2, India.Arie Lead Grammy Pack"). Keys and Aaliyah also won two American Music Awards in January (see "Alicia Keys, Destiny's Child, Aaliyah Excel At AMAs").

The Soul Train Music Awards will be given out at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, where soul singers the O'Jays will be bestowed with the Quincy Jones Award for Outstanding Career Achievement. Alicia Keys will be honored with the Sammy Davis Jr. Award for Female Entertainer of the Year, and Dr. Dre will receive the male equivalent.

A taped broadcast of the awards ceremony is scheduled to air in syndication in late March. An album featuring tracks by several of this year's nominees is due March 26. Compilations based on the Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards and the Soul Train Christmas special are also in the works.

Producer and songwriter Raphael Saadiq is getting ready to expose himself.

Though known for performing with Tony! Toni! Toné! and Lucy Pearl, next month he'll be on his own for the first time when he releases "Be Here," the lead single from his debut solo album, Instant Vintage (May 28).

The groove-laden, sensual R&B song features murky beats, a funky rhythm and sultry vocals by Saadiq and ladies' man D'Angelo.

"It's talking about your girl," Saadiq explained from his studio in North Hollywood. "Maybe she's out of town or maybe you just bought an apartment and you're trying to convince her to move with you. But it's saying, 'You should be here. You don't need to be across town. You should be with me.' That's something I've experienced from being on the road touring or traveling, but I think it's something every man can understand. Like, you could be in the military like those cats over in Afghanistan now. They probably all wish their wives and girlfriend could be with them."

This weekend, Saadiq will make his directorial debut shooting the video for "Be Here" with D'Angelo. The clip will be filmed in and around Saadiq's studio, Blakeslee Recording Company, and on location in Los Angeles. It'll feature shots of the two crooners pining away for their girlfriends while a bevy of beauties flocks around them.

"There are gonna be a lot of girls hanging outside this old, beat-up apartment, and we're just kind of ignoring them, waiting there for our girls to show up," said Saadiq, who will be filmed eating alone, doing dishes and gazing longingly at a picture of his girl. D'Angelo will be depicted in a similarly melancholy light, distractedly channel surfing and talking on his cell phone.

"Our girls never really show up until the end of the video," said Saadiq. " It's gonna be shot really artsy and kinda funky. It ain't gonna be your typical bootie-shakin' video, but there's gonna be some booty in it."

Saadiq and D'Angelo will reconvene later in the year to help produce D'Angelo's next album. Saadiq is also planning to do some production work on Justin Timberlake's solo disc and has recently worked with Kelly Price and TLC, whose T-Boz guests on the Instant Vintage track "Different Times."

NEW YORK (AP) - Popular music has a history of influencing fashion, and 'N Sync's Chris Kirkpatrick is keeping that synergy alive.

Kirkpatrick's clothing line, FuMan Skeeto, had its runway debut Monday night at Girls Rule, one of the shows of New York Fashion Week, which ends Friday.

FuMan Skeeto was inspired by the vintage-chic styles of New York and one-of-a-kind boutiques in Los Angeles, the 30-year-old singer explained in a statement.

"No matter what is on the young female's agenda, FuMan Skeeto is her ... 24-hour clothing," Kirkpatrick said. As is the custom for most designers, he came out at the end of the show to take a bow.

The collection features loose velour and French terry tops and jackets, chenille patch jeans and novelty T-shirts, including one with "Available" printed on the front.

Tom Julian, trend analyst for Fallon Worldwide advertising agency, said Kirkpatrick is on the right track, but needs to link his stardom to the label.

"When you look at the logo, you don't know it's him and his name," Julian said. "That might be a conscious decision but to focus more on his face will help sell the line in the competitive zone of music and urban wear."

Darren Hayes, the voice of Savage Garden, performed during the Girls Rule show, which also featured collections by teen-oriented fashion labels Planet Yumthing, Smashing Grandpa and Dollhouse.

Hey y'all...I'm bored so I just thought I'd say hello. Anyone else out there as bored as me??? Life has been fairly interesting for me lately...but I'm hanging in there. Not much else I can do but that. I'm in love with my best friend...no I haven't said anything to him. I doubt I ever will. Long story. Still don't know what's wrong with me...could be MS, could be something else, could be nothing else. A good friend of mine recently told me he was gay...not that I'm against being gay, it was just a shock. I BIG shock...I nearly fell off his bed when he told me. But he's happy, so that's all that matters. Hmm...I miss my friends in Salt Lake. I'm lonely a lot of the time, but when Chadly moves in with me I'm sure that will go away. I think the thing that is bugging me the most is that on April 1st it will have been three years since a boy has really kissed me. I get pecks all the time from Eric, Chadly and Michael...but I mean a REAL kiss...I feel like a big loser. Sorry...I'm just going on and on. Life is good, don't get me wrong...every day above ground is most certainly a blessing. Somedays are just better than others is all.
So yeah...I downloaded this song from "Madster" *previously known as "Aimster"* called "I Walk Alone" by Oleander...oh yeah...GREAT SONG!! Really Great song!! I URGE you...urge? Urge??...*sings* She's got the urge...natural botanicals...the urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg to...what is it they say there anyway?? Gurgle? Urgle? What is it they say there? Oh...wait...is it Herbal!?!?! I really don't know. I'm such a dork. Anyway, I think y'all should download that song or go out and get the whole CD.
So yeah...I'm done now.

Hi Everyone!!

I am wondering if any of you could help me out. I am a new fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I absolutely love this show and I was excited to finally watch a new episode on Tuesday. I had to tape it because I was working that night. I get home to watch it and find out that it didn't tape!!! I was not too thrilled about this at all, but I did remember that one of our local stations would be repeating it on Saturday. Well, I had to tape that too because I was going out of town. When I went to play it I realized that I taped the wrong channel!!! Don't I have the best luck??!! Anyway, I read the summary of the show on one of the websites and it sounds like it was an unbelievable show. I am very interested in the Buffy/Spike storyline. Also on the site I found out that some how I also missed three other episodes over the season--which made me really upset.

So, to finally get to the point of this post, I was wondering if anyone watches the show and tapes the episodes. I would love a copy of last weeks episode and the three before the episode where Buffy becomes invisible. I would pay for any expenses that would be included in this undertaking.

If someone here watches Buffy or if they know anyone that does, please let me know. I would really appreciate it. If there is something that I could help out with please let me know.

Also, if there is anyone that is going to the NSYNC Minneapolis show in March, let me know because I will be there!!!! :)

I was just wondering i have a friend that is 23 and she works with this guy that's 18 and thinks he may like her but she wants to ask him to hang out (she's very shy) and so she's wonering what could they do together that would be fun and yet maybe a lil creative.
I want to suprise my sis with the whole collection or what i can find of it of the MMC. Does anyone have it and be willing to send me a copy. Just let me know what you have and cost.

Well, the doctors appointment went pretty well. I was tested for Lupus, Lymes and a few other diseases. I will find out the results of those at a later date. I have an MRI scheduled for February 12th at 8:30pm. I should have the results a few days after that. I wish I didn't have to wait so long. But I'm glad I didn't wait till the 15th for my appointment, becuz then this would be a longer wait. Michael was pretty pissed when I talked to him about it last night...sometimes I think he's more concerned about all of this than me. My dad couldn't believe they are making me wait two more weeks before they give me the MRI, but I told him that they are usually booked pretty tight like that. My mom thought it was funny that they tested me for Syphilis. I laughed pretty hard at that one, too. But ya just sit there and smile. He was a great doctor...very personable and very comfortable to be around. Khaki's and a flannel shirt, no doctors jacket...he got all teary eyed when I started to cry, and called me sweetie and told me he doesn't want me to be scared, because if we catch this as quickly as possible, there are things I can do to make my life semi normal. I don't know...I'm scared but I'm pretty confident that everything will turn out okay.Thanks again for all of your prayers and well wishes.
