Rank took a look at the most captivating performers of 2002. Actress Jennifer Aniston reigned queen at number one. Brooke Burke caught up with The Friends' star as she accepted her E! Entertainer of the Year Award, speaking candidly about what the past year has meant to her both personally and professionally.
Not wanting to leave our viewers out of the holiday list making, we asked viewers who their favorite star of 2002 was. E! Online voters put American Idol phenom Kelly Clarkson at the top of their list, placing (2) Eminem, (3) Britney Spears, (4) Kiefer Sutherland and (5) Reese Witherspoon not far behind. Online voters also named Christina Aguilera as the Star that Bared Too Much Skin, 'N Sync as the Most Played Out Boy Band, "The Adventures of Pluto Nash" as the Worst Film Flop of 2002, Gwyneth Paltrow's black Oscar® attire as the Worst Red Carpet Outfit and Julia Roberts as their Favorite Past Entertainer of the Year Award Winner. For those celebrities who found themselves in the spotlight for all of the wrong reasons in 2002, we just couldn't resist and tallied them up for what we'll call "the flip side" of this "best of" list. Martha Stewart, Winona Rider, Rosie O'Donnell and Michael Jackson were among the celebs who called attention to themselves this year for their notorious headline-making antics.

The First Family of Rock 'n' Roll -- The Osbournes -- host the 30th annual "American Music Awards," which airs live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
The opening performance will be a special pairing of Elton John and Tim McGraw, performing Elton John's "Tiny Dancer."
