In reply to Tina's response, I agree that I would feel better equipped than a sibling to battle the genetic mutation mainly because I know my thresholds of pain, mentality, and my will to fight against whatever is thrown my way. I also feel that I am someone who does not like to see others in pain and suffering and rather have myself in their place just as Tina stated. An interesting fact that I thought Tina mentioned was the aspect of genetic disorders. I had not fully thought about the fact that in cases of genetic mutations, no one is to blame. She also mentioned the unawareness parents may have that they could be carriers of the mutated genes.
