In responce to Regina's question 2 I think it is necessary to point out that in many cases the marker gene may or may not lead to the disease. A percentage is used to extimate the how likely a person could have the disease. I agree with Regina on the "Potenial sickness" that is associalted with the gene. I think that being a carrier of a marker gene should not be the end all be all of a persons life. Instead it should be considered a guidpost toward knowing one's internal makeup and link to one's genetic history.
