I mean, well, Prague is, as you say, not in Romania but it's a lot closer to it than London is, or New York. Do you believe Spike and Dru were 'crossing the pond' from time to time over a 10-20 year period? It's possible sure but it seems unlikely with the daylight vulnerability working against them.

Because we see Spike in NY sans Dru I get the impression that Dru was already weak at that point (late 70s yes?), though there's really nothing solid to support that of course.

Then again who'd have spotted a vampire in business class in the 80s, Mr. Trick would have been invisible.
