Date Posted: 13:16:49 07/07/03 Mon In reply to: Aragorn 's message, "Shadow Whip~" on 13:03:27 07/07/03 Mon Legolas knelt on the ground, still clutching the body. He laid it gently on the ground, his arms and chest covered in blood from carrying it. His gripped the earth and when he ran a hand down the sheet it left a brown and green stain. The world world was young, the mountains green, No stain yet on the Moon was seen, No words were laid on stream or stone, When Durin woke and walked alone. He named the nameless hills and dells; He drank from yet untasted wells; He stooped and looked in Mirrormere, And saw a crown of stars appear, As gems upon a silver thread, Above the shadow of his head. The world was fair, the mountains tall, In Elder Days before the fall Of mighty Kings in Nargothrond And Gondolin, who now beyond The Western Seas have passed away: The world was fair in Durin's Day. Legolas finished his song, passing a hand over where the face of the boy would be if it wasn't covered. 'There. I've said my farewell. It's the least I could do.' Legolas stood up, dusting his hands off on his pants. He looked over at Aragorn as if just noticing him. "You should've stayed inside." Legolas lookeed at him and walked past him to the door. "Come in and eat." [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
