Date Posted: 19:24:07 01/19/04 Mon In reply to: George Knight 's message, "Tungsten T3 Frustration" on 18:32:33 01/19/04 Mon I hate to keep saying it, but details really help here. What I have is: T3 Win 98 USB - You say when you try to hotsync, it appears both the T3 and the PC are trying to connect (you get some indication on both sides). Exactly what does the T3 say before the failure? - Did you verify that the hotsync ID's match? - Are you syncing with Palm Desktop or Outlook? - If Palm Desktop, did you install over the existing version? - If you deleted the previous version, what about the data (address book, date book, etc). - Does the hotsync manager appear to be set up properly? - What model Palm were you using previously? - What make and model PC? >Long story short - new Tungsten T3 - installed >software (Win98), couldn't hot sync. Looked like USB >connection was OK because the computer recognized that >I was starting a hot sync, but T3 got hung up and >gave message that said that the connection was lost, >and that I should check the setup. Three long calls to >Palm where they basically told me the same thing each >time (reinstall software, hard reset on the handheld - >get rid of any old palm software) and each time it >didn't work. Returned T3 and got new one. Same thing. >Thoughts? I'd be very grateful. >-George [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
