I once did morning radio in Barnesboro, PA, and was an overnight producer for KQV, so I was at times in the mix of morning drive madness (and it is madness no matter what format you're doing). Cordic & Co. remains memorable decades later. Jack Bogut still can tell a good story (as he shows on occasion on KDKA). Nowadays morning radio isn't fun, at least not on AM (I must confess I am not into WDVE or WXDX in morning drive). KDKA's Morning News probably is the most segmented, with something for everyone in news, business, entertainment and sports. David Bloomquist (aka Bloomdaddy) may be the busiest man in morning radio as heard in Pittsburgh, though he does his show from Wheeling. He records segments especially for WJAS listeners, while also airing on WWVA and WLTP downriver in Parkersburg, W.Va. No, this ins't strictly an answer to "Pittsburgh's top morning show hosts/teams" but that really is subjective, based on when one really wants to focus on when they thought the dawn patrol types were worth the time and trouble.
