I just can't take Susan seriously. She neatly excised Emily from the whole baby-switch scenario. It's almost as if her own self-esteem is dependant on Emily never being responsible for anything. Susan needs to work her 12 Steps.
I think this was laying the groundwork for Emily's Whoring being brought to light. Remember that Emily lied to Susan about it.
