• You know what kills me, TK? I knew that Ro came out of that coma that Craig put her in morally challenged ... but now she has proven she is also intellectually retarded. At first I thought her comparing what Paul did to Jennifer as being the same thing that she did to Paul with Craig ... was a heat of the moment feeble justification. But NO! She actually believes that handing over Paul's son TO HIS ENEMY Craig ... is the same thing as Paul trying to keep Jennifer and her baby AWAY from Craig. What the HELL? • spoilers ahead....while I agree that watching Roger do any scene is a pleasure, I'm really impressed with him during this truly meaty stuff. I am NOT impressed by upcoming spoilers about him sharing a scene with crazy woman, and also that Meg ONCE AGAIN breaks up with him b/c of his "hatred of Craig". HELLO?! When does Paul get to remind her that he was all ready to let go and SHE insisted on marrying the guy....all of which led to Paul going over a cliff and Lucinda still not getting her company back!! I am really p*ssed at the writers. No wonder people hate Meg so much. She just said yesterday that she wouldn't blame Paul for wanting to kill Craig if he knew....well he DOES! Jeez!   • Totally righteous rant, Miss Becks! I would love for Paul to bring that up but if he passes on justifiable recriminations ... I'll just chalk it up to him not wanting to exacerbate Meg's trauma. Sigh. I honestly hate how the writers present Meg to make the "Quad" work. Poor MWil does stellar work with bifurcated crap though, and her scenes with RH make even the most ridiculous justifications work for me. But then again, are they really ridiculous? Because I actually do see what the writers are doing, but honestly? They overestimate some viewers ability to see that nothing is simple. People are very complex. There really is no "black and white" in anything having to do with psychological motivations ... and matters of the heart. • Re: Heartbreaking day ..for the Paul fans. I get him going after Craig - he's got a very legitimate reason. Miss Becks..dont let Meg fool you.she'll be a mother in grieving..mothers in grief say & do things they dont even realize they are. Meg loves Paul & their baby. I expect her to forgive him and apologize for anything she says or does. And i hope Pauls love and understanding of Meg will be there and keep him strong...just like her love stayed for him when he ranted at her. She never stopped believeing in his love for her. I find it pretty cool that Babs and Meg are both looking out for Paul. cause it is all about Paul...and protecting him. Meg's harshness about his hate.....its not about hating what he does or not getting it......its about Paul finding solace in other ways. I truly believe that. She wants better for Paul. You know ... one of the reasons I do love Paul and Meg is not only because RH and MWil have terrific chemistry together ... but also because their Story is so damned (really, hee!) Soapy. Nothing is easy for them ... nothing is simple. Not only is the deck stacked against them individually and as a couple ... they unfortunately play some of those cards badly. But you know what? Even when I get all "oh NO! No no no NO!" there is a rootability there that keeps me riveted. I WANT them to prevail. It's Soap. How she held his hand the whole time while Craig berrated them. Too much love there to type about. I feel so sorry for them both. Im scared for their well being. They're both strong. But this could break them as individuals and maybe their bond. I just want them to somehow make it through....and have it stick. No more one day reunions for PEG.       • Hey Jen, and everyone, I was severly depressed after watching today's show, and I won't be able to watch it again for a long time. I DO understand the complexities of everything, but even in "old" soapland, there was a payoff at some point. After 2 years of watching Paul and Meg, I'm still waiting for their payoff. And it's frustrating me enormously. I seriously had to leave my house after today's show b/c I was so upset (how ridiculous is that!?). Great work to MWil and of course, RH.           • Ah ... Miss Becks. I do understand. It is frustrating and after Fridays show, heartbreaking. But, and I am not trying to minimize your feelings or need for a break ... it's par for the course in Soap for me. As not just a Paul fan ... but an old Todd fan, let alone other characters and couples I followed for years on other soaps ... this is all pretty much by the book. Sigh. What always gets me through is the acting. I've always seen Soap as basically an exploration of Emotional Response to circumstances ... of all kinds. I think that is what the hard to take plots are all about. Do I want "payoffs" ... yes. But in my many years of watching ... they have been always brief for the characters I follow. But the emotional depictions ... the moments when I actually forget I'm watching TV ... make it worthwhile for me. Listen ... I'm not trying to preach to you here.
