Transferable permit are nice, but they are the cause of all the cheating in the system. Because no one has an answer on how to keep permits transferable without the cheating I'm for non-transferable permits.

The other problem is with Special Oppertunity Hunts. Apply as many times as you like. This only favors the people with deep pockets. SOH hunts should be the same as regular quota hunts. Apply one time at no charge. If FWC can't run the hunts for what they charge, then increase the price or do away with them.

On a lot of the WMA's the seasons have already been shorten and some also have a one buck per permit limit. I could live with a one buck limit and antler restrictions if the FWC would increase the hunting oppertunities (more hunts and permits)on these areas. Example: Jennings WMA has two gun hunts that total 16 days. One hunt is 9 days the other is 7 days. They issue 60 permits each hunt, which is low for a 24,000 acre WMA. That's 120 permits total. This kind of hunt format is very inefficient. Just by spliting up the hunts into 4 day hunt would generate twice as many permits.

If a bag limit is put in place then some kind of tagging system will be need. The one that I like is where you punch out a place on you liences. Tags that you have to afix to the deer somethimes gets lost when your dragging the deer out of the woods.

If the system was done away with how short of a season are we talking about?
