Keith,

I think we all have that same thoughts going on with this issue, we want better hunting, better harvesting, but I personally don't feel this will help ME at all, infact My feeling is the more i can get into the woods the better my chances are at harvesting, how will the NON-trans get you or I in the woods more often?

Is the thinking; Your able to go to say Toso instead of Buck Lake for a three day hunt versus being able to go to three or four different WMAs a Better Option? Is there a WMA in florida that gives the assurance of a harvest that all you need is that one hunt?

That's the kind a difference it will be if the NON-trans gets passed, Toso being a Pref/First Non-Trans, then a second and third transferable, right now second is holding very few hunts, third is nothing to speak about... what will change? the ability to trade your Pref/first good hunt GONE! Are Fl. Public Land hunters going to be better off, will they get MORE oputunities, will their Harvest rate go up? More then likely there will be LESS hunters in the woods, which will lead to more rule changes for LESS hunting Days, just because hunters won't be in the woods as much due in part to other obligations comming up when their hunt comes up, and they can't trade it off for a time they CAN use it such as the second hunt instead of the first, or vise-versus! let's face it, we all can not be in the woods on the day that our hunt comes up, it's impossible to think that! Sh*& happens! How many people, what WMAs will be effected, what will happen then, look at the number of hunters now not showing up?

Again if hunters look at the Pros and Cons, this non-trans isn't in their best interest on an over all point of view, The "HORDING" effect is very minumal in comparison to what lies ahead for Florida Hunters, I think! Yes, We do need to make some changes, but picking a NEW road to go down, one we have never been down, what if it is a dead end, how do we get back to where we were, do we PICK another road?

I know for a FACT that I personally will loose hunting Days if this goes thru... how can I accept a LOSE in hunting when I have to work for the ones I get now, just to go hunt? remember it's not just the Abuser of the rules who looses!

Organizations, Stakeholders and Hunters in general, have to be sure that the overall Hunting of public land will be better then, not worse off with any Major changes being made thru the FWC!

Mark
