Here are my thoughts to your questions, **

>>There are rumblings out there about

>>1. Trashing the quota system
** I can see that changes ae needed to the system, but I can see nothing go coming from trashing all togeter. The sytem went down everytime a "first come - first serve drawing was held. You could fix that by making ALL DRAWINGS RANDOM. As far as keeping people from putting in for multiple permits, I personally think before the go to the non-transferably, they should try making a person have their hunting license and management stamp a requirement. Or rasie the cost of a management stamp to $50.00. It could deter someone from putting in for as many multiples.

>>2. Implementing a tag system

** WE talked about this when the FWC was going to 3 point or better on one side with the Bonus buck remember. They couldn't figure out a was to check these bucks in. Most of the WMA's don't even have a check station. Hunter are suppose to fill out cards and send them in, just how many hunter do you know that report their harvest now? Do think are going to call in to report the use of their tag?? Policing this is going to be a big problem.

>>3. Cutting harvest back to 2 or 4 deer per person per
>>year

** I don't believe we should do anything with the harvest limit now till we can figure out just how many deer are really in each WMA. Then we have to figure out a way to check the game that is being killed. Then we can talk about harvest limits.

>>4. Starting hunting season the same dates state wide

** I personally think this should be one of the first thing the state should try. I know alot of people from the Central and Northern parts of the state put in for hunts in the Southern region so the can start hunting earlier and when their own season start they hunt there. And I know several people from the Southern region who put in for quotas for the central and northern region so they can hunt longer. It may not solve the whole problem but it's a place to start.

>>5. Cutting the general gun season back to 2 weeks

** I don't understand the what cutting back 2 weeks is going to do???

>>6. Opening all public land without limits on numbers
>>of hunters

** I could see this causing more problems than we have right now.

>7. We can't forget the ever present horn limits

** This was discussed before and because of the food sources in each region, it was dropped. Besides this is another WHO's going to police this situation.

>8. Kill more does / Don't kill any does

** This issue to me need further reviewing. It would depend to me on what the buck to doe ratio was.
