I believe the reason FWC didn't pass antler restriction the last time they tried was because as they said the majority of hunters didn't want it.
I see a lot of people on different forums saying they are for it..however people on the INTERNET don't represent the majority of public land hunters by a long shot..nor do their views or ethics.
I to believe the FWC will add more and more antler restrictions but not because a majority of hunters want it..but because a select few with influence want it and others just go along thinking it sounds good so must be the thing to do.Igt a feeling there's going to be a lot of disappointed people after it all said and done. Hunting will be just as difficult as before and the 120" and up trophy bucks will be fewer.
I feel sure also we will soon see reduced bag limits on bucks along with no increase in Doe harvest..people can't just start killing Doe's cause they are supposed to be a lot of them. Most areas don't have enough to start with.
The biggest question I got is with overcrowding on public land now the biggest problem, eg. hunting pressure equals nocturnal bucks..even if we could beg more people to hunt if we could make it easier for them..where we going to put them?

Tell them to join one of the good $5400.00 a yr. lease's..or to just go ask a land owner for permission..or to pile into the public land it's already over-crowded anyway. I forgot..the quota hunts..they can just apply for a good area..it only takes about 15yrs. to hit one.

There's one thing the hunters in this state need to be doing..putting pressure on Swiftmud and the likes to get our tax paid for public lands open for hunting..like it is for horse riders, ecotrippers and the likes.

It will all boil down to less deer to kill all the way around with shorter seasons to hunt and more over crowding..now that really sounds good. I can't wait for all these good restrictions and laws to take place.
