Author: Another Concerned Racer that was banned
Subject: HMP has went downhill since doc left there. The track used to be safe and there were no wrecks caused by the track surface. Now that they have people running the track with virtually no knowledge of the operations or track prep, we are the test dummies for their mistakes. When has JG picked up a mop or worked on the track surface? Doc put many hours in making it hook and safe without drawing a dime from them. When he told them he needed to hire some track staff, they decided they would go a different way. Well, they had to hire staff but have no leadership to safety concerns or track operations. As I see it, they have already 1 death on the track and over 200 cars wrecked in the past 2 years. I spend my hard earned money on my cars and don't want them torn to pieces. That is why I have moved to HRP.

[> 95% of all wrecks being at any track are due to driver error. I have wrecked my fair share of nice cars and some was due to driver error others were parts failure -- dont blame the track for drivers mistakes, Monday, April 14, 08:08:23am [1]

[> [> Driver error is understandable but look at some video's from HMP and you will see that there is ALOT of track issues causing these wrecks. Shawn Davis did have a motor/car issue that caused his damage but there have been many cars that just turn and hit the wall on the big end. -- Concerned Racer, Monday, April 14, 08:22:33am [1]

[> [> [> [> Believe me, It's not me working on the track. LOL I was happy to give it up and watch them go their own way. LOL It really is sad that a track of that caliber has such a sorry track prep crew. If you look at all the pics, it seems like the staff all sits in the middle and watches the races instead of monitoring the track surface. And no, you can't add more VHT thinking it will come around. LOL It is an art and I appreciate the people that have asked me about it but No, I cannot reveal what it would take to fix it. The list would be too long. Have to step on some toes and I just don't have the time these days. NHRA has the answer but they don't have a clue on who to talk to I guess. I wish them luck in their endeavors. -- Doc (semi-retired), Monday, April 14, 10:41:56pm [1]
