'00 gsxr 750 ignition problem -- Peter MacIntyre, 13:13:53 10/14/02 Mon
Just wondering if anyone knows if a gsxr 1000 ignition switch is compatable with a 00 750. My bike was showing no dash lights or power to anything and the dealer told me it was my ignition switch. I have a 1000 switch and so tried it and it lights up everything but still nothing happens when I hit the starter button. I have noticed that the 750 ignition has an extra orange wire that is not part of the green plug. The 1000 switch doesn't have that. Also, my little red light on the dash is illuminated. I think its for oil/ coolant/ efi. Are there sensors that cut out the starter if those items are faulty or not filled? Any words of help are appreciated.

I get a false neutral on my 2002 gsxr 750 between 4th & 5th gear. It doesn't do it all the time but is annoying. I read in a magazine that the clutch cable is not run trough the corrct hole in the frame. Any suggestions would help. Also besides two more teeth on my rear sproket how can I get more low end? Anyone ever had problems with fuel injection on their gsxr750's, the FI error comes up on the display and the bike wont start, its happened a couple of times but usually suddenly kicks into life. This time i get the feeling its buggered. any ideas??

I am having a problem with my 2002 GSXR 1000. It happens a time or two during a ride. I find several times that I'll be cruising in second through town for quite a while and when I go to accelerate it will "pop" into a neutral. Has this ever happened to you? I also have noticed that while extreme riding I'll pull the front wheel up in first and immediately click to second and ride the balancing point to do tricks. A couple when the front starts to come down I accelerate hard to keep the front end from slamming down and under that acceleration it again will pop into a neutral. Suzuki is telling me that it sounds like a bent shift fork and that it will not be covered under warrant (It did it within the first week of owning it and I've ridden sport bikes for 13 years and have never had this problem with any other ones.) Also another annoying thing is the bar end fell out going down the highway and suzuki told me that even though they all do that (gsxr's) it's not a warranty item if anyone has experienced these or other problems lem me know thanks Dave.

I just ran my Gsxr 1000 an a DynoJet Dyno Max power 162.1 horsepower 83.1 Ft-lbs torque at the rear wheel. No shit, M4 exhaust dont use k&n air filter. I got 2 more horses with stock. Power commander 3, and a few more tricks.HA! By By busa.

GSXR 1100G Brake Problem -- Ian, 08:02:32 08/19/02 Mon
Hi, I have a Streetfighter'ed Gixer 1100G and the front brake is terrible, the brake lever almost touches the bars. There is definitely NO air in the system, Steel flex hoses, New pads & the disks are within tolerance.
This has got progressively worse. Anyone got any ideas

I just changed the wiring harness on an old 90 gsxr 750 the harness was suppose to be for that bike but there was some differences Ive got the bike running but cant get the tach neutral light oil pressure light etc I have matched all the wire colours but nothing works can any one help am I missing something

I just sold my '95 ZX9R and just bought a 1000 GSXR and love it. It has so much low RPM power even keeping it below the 6000 RPM limit for 500 miles is still a blast. I bought it last night and have put 180 miles on it.

One question. I have noticed that sometimes there is a slight hesitation when blipping the throttle just above idle. Even when warm it sometimes does it and sometime doesn't. I tried increasing the idle speed slightly but that didn't seem to make any difference. Anyone heard of this happening? I figured if it didn't work itself out by the end of break-in I would ask the dealer to look at it.

We all know the 1000cc GSXR puts out more power than the 600cc but is that power usable for street riding? I ask because I'm getting ready to buy a 600 supersport or a 1000 and want to know if the 1000's extra power is going to do me any good on the street (as opposed to racetrack fun). I've been riding a 250 ninja for 2 years and have definitly out grown it and need some advice on which size is best for the canyon carving. Top speed don't mean squat to me; accelleration and cornering is where its at.

Hey. i was wondering if anyone has found problems/severe defects with the wheels/rims of these bikes. i got a friend who got in an accident, the rear wheel rim basically disintegrated while he was decelerating, not speeding or anyhing, but the thing broke into like 15 pieces and injured him bad. so i was trying to research it and wondering if anyone else has experienced similar problems. thanks

96 GSXR750..just noticed it starting to leak gas and I cant pin point where its coming from, didnt know if it was a thing that has ever happend to anyone or not seems to come out of the 1st piston on the left side. Please e-mail if you have any ideas!

I just got a 2002 GSXR-750 and I had it parked and some a-hole knocked it over clutch side. The bike will not start now with the ignition switch. It doesn't even make a sound. I can get it to start by getting it moving and popping it in 2nd gear, but I wonder before taking it to the service shop whether or not there is some kind of emergency switch that may have tripped and disabled the ignition? I have checked all the fuses and they are all good. The bike runs fine once started... I'm at a loss, does anyone have any ideas on where a cut-off switch might be located?

My bike tipped over while I was parking it and the engine shut off (probably because of the tip sensor). Now it won't start! Is there some sort or "reset" required? Thanks.

k newbie here, just got this bike, 99' gsxr600. i was on a hill stopped and accidentally laid it down on the ride side. picked it up right away and gas was dripping in one spot. rode over to side of road and didnt see anything, it started back up. 1st and 2nd gear were fine, 3rd+ you get no throttle response, the more you twist the mor bubbling sounds you get. so i took the fairings off and everything, and there are two hoses coming off the gas tank that are just dangling. they are not connected to anything. i dont see an opening of any sort, where do these two hoses go?

PLEASE HELP. what grab rail or luggage rack do i get for my 91 GSXR400. is it the same size rear seat fittings as the RGV250 or the GSXR600. also, exhausts, is this the same case.
