  iv just recently bought a gsxr400 & iv noticed while riding it normally il be shifting through the gears all the way up to 6th by the time i hit around 30mph and at around 50mph il be in 6th gear & the revs will b reading about 6000revs which to me seems that the revs are to high for a speed of 50mph the revs should be lower i think am i wrong? or hav i been sold a gsxr400 which has got a smaller engine in it?

  I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. A little while
  back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just like you are now, and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00! So after thinking it over, and talking to a few people first, I thought about trying it. I figured: what have I got to lose except 6 stamps and $6.00, right? Then I invested the measly $6.00. Well GUESS WHAT!!... within 7 days, I started getting money in the mail! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in, In my first week, I made about $25.00. By the end of the second week I had made a total of over $1,000.00! In the third week I had over $10,000.00 and it's still growing. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and it's still coming in rapidly. It's certainly worth $6.00, and 6 stamps, I have spent more than that on the lottery!! Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works....Also, make sure you print a copy of this article NOW, so you can get the information off of it as you need it.   Step 5) Visit these message boards and post htis article as a nes message by highlighting the text of this letter and selecting Paste from the edit menu. Fill in the Subject, tis will be the header that everyone sees as they scroll through the list of postings in a particular group, click the post message button. You're done with your first one! Congratulations... THAT'S IT! All you have to do is jump to different newsgroups and post away, after you get the hang of it, it will take about 30 seconds for each newsgroup.**REMEMBER, THE MORE NEWSGROUPS YOU POST IN, THE MORE MONEY YOU WILL MAKE!! BUT YOU HAVE TO PAST A MINIMUM OF 200** That's it! You will begin receiving money from around the world within days! You may eventually want to rent a P.O. Box due to the large amount of mail you will receive. If you wish to stay anonymous, you can invent a name to use, al long as the postman will deliver it. **JUST MAKE SURE ALL THE ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT.**
  Now the WHY part: Out of 200 postings, say I receive only 5 replies (a very low example). So then I made $5.00 with my name at #6 on the letter. Now, those 125 persons turn around and post the MINIMUM 200 with my name at #3 and only receive 5 replies each, I will make an additional $625.00!OK, now here is the fun part, each of those 625 persons post a MINIMUM 200 letters with my name at #2 and they each only receive 5 replies, that just made me$3,125.000!!! Those 3,125 persons will all deliver this message to 200 newsgroups with my name at #1 and if still 5 persons per 200 newsgroups react I will receive $15,625! With an original investment of only $6.00! AMAZING! When your name is no longer on the list, you just take the latest posting in the newsgroups, and send out another $6.00 to names on the list, putting your name at number 6 again. And start posting again. The thing to remember is: do you realize that thousands of people all over the world are joining the internet and reading these articles everday?, JUST LIKE YOU are now!! So, can you afford $6.00 and see if it really works?? I think so...People have said, "e;what if the plan is played out and no one sends you the money? So what! What are the chances of that happening when there are tons of new honest users and new honest people who are joining the internet and newsgroups everyday and are willing to give it a try? Estimates are at 20,000 to 50,000 new users, every day, with thousands of those joining the actual internet. Remember: play FAIRLY and HONESTLY and this will really work!!!

• 2001 gsxr 1000 right side engine whine? -- Litos, 19:56:46 11/11/03 Tue
  I am looking at purchasing a used 2001 gsxr 1000. The one i am interested in buying has a slight whining sound coming from the right side engine area with the choke closed. when choke is open ....there is no whining also if you accelerate there is no whining. THe bike wasnt running long enough to fully warm up to see if it only did this while the bike was cold. THe bike sounds and looks great beside the whining sound. Anyone have any ideas of what this might be? Could this be a serious mechanical problem....or is this typical on these bikes. Thanks in advance to all that respond any help is appreciated.

• 98 750 GSXR Unusual F1 code issue -- Stew, 05:23:57 07/28/03 Mon
  I bought a used (22000 miles) 98 GSXR 2 months ago. I put about 600 miles on the machine and I started to notice th FI light on with an F1 error code flashing. At the same time, I could get the throttle to roll on slowly, but not with sudden snaps. I checked the charging system and everything seems to work fine. I brought it to the dealer, and being as intermittent as this issue is, it didn't even happen for them. They indicated the F1 points to the TPS. So I replaced this part. Still, I continue to have this problem from time to time. I used an ohm meter to check the fully closed tps reading to be 1.2 kohms as specified by the manual (4.0kohm fully open). However, when the issue arrises again, somehow the reading changes. I verified the tamper proof screws are tight enough and I could not find any play in the throttle shaft.

  Yo, I just picked up a 97 600 gsxr and the bike is way to low to the ground for me. Im 6' 3" Does anyone know if the bike can be raised up from the shock adjuster/spring nut..?? I did find out about the dog bone idea but Im not sure how I would change it. Im also looking for information about how to raise the front shocks too. Every time I hit a bump or go over rail road tracks my front shocks bottom out. The bike only has four thousand miles on it so I know allot of the hard ware on the bike still has allot of life on em. This is my first bike and Im also looking for information on how to pull wheelie's on it and Im really not sure if it's me or that the bike just doesnt have enough power to pull one off. eeemmm. Or that the bike just sits too low to the ground. eerrr Other wise for with the bike never been down and just a little dent in the gas tank, I really cant complain seeing that I picked up this little toy for just 2k!! :) Well if anyone out there who can help me I would be very greatful for your input. :)

  Must show at scheduled time with clean bike and whatever outfit and helmet for your picture. Full Leathers or best riding gear is encouraged for the quality of the pictures.
  It will be on a Saturday or Sunday sometime in the near future, depending on the amount of responses we receive initially.
  We will also make it available to get multiple copies of the picture of you and your bike in 8x10 size, with a frame for your office, garage, shop or wherever.
  Who doesn't want a bad-ass, professional Picture of his/her motorcyle in full riding gear.
  The first Saturday may fill up quickly, so a speedy response quarantees you a spot for the website photography as soon as we schedule.
  The photography for the website is free of charge and you can print your picture off of the website. It is low resolution but is still alright. It is nowhere near the quality of the 8x10 we can produce for you.
  Having said this, here is the old hook... there must be a fee involved for the 8x10 pictures. Considering the amount of riders we anticipate logging, the cost of quality paper, ink and most importantly the time... we will decide a small fee for prints. There will be a price break for every additional copy you order. Again, this is not a money thing. We want you and your bike for our photo gallery. The offering of the pictures is a gesture that we cannot afford to foot the bill for.
  All Sport Bike riders are welcome to come for the bike shoots and there will be a Bar-B-Que Caterer selling cheap eats and drinks all day. Great opportunity to see and be seen.
  We will accomodate all Harley and cruiser bikes at a later date but for now it is only open to Sport Bike Riders please.
  A biography sheet will required by all entrants in the Contragear Motorcycle Section.
  This does not have to include your last name or any personal info. Whatever you feel comfortable with.
  The bike stats will be listed with the picture so viewers will know the year, make and model, etc.
  If you have a favorite gal and you want her to be in the picture, so be it. We'll even shoot some with her and without her in case you break up! No sense in ruining a perfectly good picture, right?
  We will try to schedule Miss Contragear for a portion of the Day for photography with some of the bikes.
  Some of our associate sponsors will be providing waxes and cleaning products for that final detailing at the actual shoot.

  Hello,
  
  I own a Suzuki GSX-R 1100 1994.
  Since this year (60 000 km), when I am on my 2nd gear,
  my bike sudenlly once and a while give stoke. The
  RPM goes very high and then comes normal.
  I hate the feeling since it can happen any time and
  worst, in a curve.
  The feeling is that the engine has no resistance.
  My back tire is fine, my bike shift well. I know it is not
  the clutch. I have no clue what the problem could be.
  
  If someone can help me searching in the right decision,
  it would be appreciated.

  I just bought a 2002 gixxer 1000 that has had some mods. It ran great the two times I rode it. I then started it in my garage for a friend to hear, mean as hell. Lst night I went to go for a ride and it wouldn't start. I tested power to the injectors, power at the plug wires / coil, and the fuel pump. They all had juice. I even sprayed either in the damn thing and all it does is make starter noise like it's trying to start but can't. I am at a total loss. I tried so much I have killed the battery twice. Does anyone have any ideas? All are welcome. Thank you -Patrick

  My main fuse is blowing. i put a new one in and i can turn the bike on and it will run. when i put the tail on and try to take it for a test spin, it blows before i get it out of the garage. i just bought it and only have put about 150 miles on. Could someone give some ideas about the most common cause of this?

  I'm having a problem hooking up the choke on my 96 750. When I bought the bike the cable was there but the components to hook to the carburetor was missing. Can anone tell me exactly what to get to hook the carburetor choke back up.

  My check oil light is staying on, I have a 98 GSXR 750. My oil level is fine. Does anyone know how to fix it? Also I have noticed that the resivor on the left hand side of the bike is below the low level, what kind of fluid goes in there?
