This may sound dumb, but does anyone have any idea why when people try to save a file on Microsoft Works as a Works file on my computer, it saves it as a Word file - which then can't be read. This has only been happening for a week or two. (I'm thinking someone accidentally clicked a wrong button somewhere.) And does anyone have any ideas what someone might have done to make this happen? Or how to make it stop? Thanks. :)

Hmm never really used Works but when go to save and in the box where give it a name at the bottom should be a field that says type. See if somehow the type it saves it as has been changed. -- Hope, 04:03:54 01/23/09 Fri [1]

It's .doc. But it looks like the results you get when you try to open a Works file in Word - weird symbols, boxes, etc. -- Ann, 20:01:45 01/26/09 Mon [1]
