First, *I* really think they have characters typing furiously because it can convey urgency more than frantically moving a mouse around and clicking .... there's also the typing-sound-effects! LOL! That said, one *could* argue that it's ONE thing to be using some application to do whatever (clicking on icons) and another to be programming or RE-programming. I usually get the impression (and it's probably because to me, typing furiously <I>suggests</I> actually programming under pressure) that those characters workign against the clock or while a bomb is ticking and pounding on the key board <b>are</B> programming trying to get fix or change whatever and so typing is what they'd be doing rather than "mousing". -- The HarmyBoard HarmDrive
