Subject: Thanks, I'll give this a try. I am aware of not using pictures that belong to others. It fascinates me at how easily some posters can share articles, pictures. Thanks again.
In reply to: The Chief (is that the info you were looking for?) 's message, "ED, you have to save the data on your own computer, upload it to a website (a photo-sharing site like "photobucket" works), and then link to it. Using someone else's uploaded files w/o permission is called "hot-linking" and is not allowed on any of the JAG boards I'm aware of. It steals bandwidth and is in generally bad taste. ALSO, you need to check with the owner of the image before you post it anywhere else." on 19:10:12 10/31/07 Wed

[> [> [> As Chief said, CHECK first. Better to be safe than sorry. If you have a box set pic, and you know how to scan it and save it to your harddrive, then you can upload it to your personal web site (or Photobucket as Chief mentioned.) Then you can post it. But don't even try to copy it from another web site. Sites, like forDJE fans, are very, very propriatorial, even if the image is a common one. So do it yourself. -- Cece and Ecec, 10:51:50 11/03/07 Sat [1]
