Subject: Any should work. But I would talk with the place you buy it from or go online and do some research. I have never bulit my own PC so not all that farmilar, But depending on the Motherboard might have to buy new RAM and possibly a new Network, Graphics card. So want to do some research first.
In reply to: Karen 's message, "I do have a legal copy of XP Pro and it runs my old programs. Not to boggle with detail but these programs run equipment that would take thousands of dollars to upgrade. I just need a new motherboard and CPU and wondered if there were any that only worked with Vista or if I could just go get a new one and it would work okay." on 14:33:16 02/08/07 Thu

Make sure you get all the facts before you start, or you could run into problems like having to change memory settings (a tricky and potentially problematic solution). -- JJ (Ronda), 15:28:54 02/08/07 Thu [1]
