Mr. Skakel's aunt married a Kennedy, I hardly believe that makes him part of the Kennedy "lice". If people would focus more on the evidence or the lack of it and lay off the "Kennedy fascination", one would see why the indictment was unjust. Sadly enough,if Mr. Skakel's aunt had not married into the Kennedy family, people would not be as observant to this murder twenty some years after the fact. This is proven by the media in their vivid details to ensure that readers know that Mr. Skakel is related to the Kennedy's. I believe in innocent until proven guilty. The public is so determined to place blame on one of the Skakels, it really doesn't matter which one, they are all kin the Kennedy's by marriage, that the fact that there was and still is no evidence to prove that Micheal Skakel committed the murder makes little or no difference to some. The murder was gruesome and senseless, but to convict basically on a "he said, she said basis" is an injustice. If this indictment gives one a feeling of justice, even in the lack of evidence, I believe one has no real sense of what justice means in the pretense of law. I am not a pro advocator of Skakel per se, I am a pro advocator of justice as it is explained by law.

In the end, I don't care. His behavior and attitude is reminiscent enough of the Kennedy's behavior that he is dispicable whether he's a murderer or not. In the end, it is a local matter, just like that of William Kennedy Smith was. Why is this case even discussion worthy?
