Subject: Red Light Cameras

A hearing on Red Light Cameras will be held in Philadelphia on May 6th, 2003 10AM at City Hall.
Although I am usually not in agreement with the ACLU, they will be present to object to the installation of Cameras on the streets of Phila. They will argue that the cameras violate the 5th, 6th and 14th amendments of the Constitution. I agree. Anyone wanting to attend or voice an opinion to these cameras should contact Frank Rizzo at 215-686-3440. Frank will hold the hearing.
More information on Red Light Cameras can be had at www.motorists.org and www.freedom.gov/auto.
Fight before your rights are taken away.

[> Frannie is convinced that the cameras will do "oh so much good." Somebody ask him if he will include in the bill that the timing of the lights will not be tampered with to create dangerous situations just to raise revenue and have penalties if anyone does. Betcha he says that won't be necessary. Ask the people in Washington D.C. Constitutional issues aside, poorly managed government can kill people if they abuse this. He's a nice guy, but not the sharpest knife in the drawer. -- SurveyGuy, 15:05:31 04/12/03 Sat (pcp01422563pcs.lndsd201.pa.comcast.net/68.81.153.209)
