The Homophobic Reverend

There is a very dangerous man living among the citizens of Red Deer. This man is dangerous to everyone, but poses a bigger threat to young people than he does to adults. This man is not a scam artist, nor is he a sexual offender. This man calls himself a reverend, but is really no better than the elitist fascists of years past.

Among other things, Reverend Stephen Boissoin preaches to youth who attend concerts at the Upper Level Youth Centre in Red Deer. The tactics he uses to brainwash people and indoctrinate his ideas into their minds are chillingly similar to those used by history's dictators, such as Mao, Stalin and Hitler.

Reverend Boissoin's charismatic speeches quicly capture the attention of youth, many of which ar6e still too young to think for themselves. Stephen Boissoin knows that these youth will agree with anything he says. In July of 2002, at a concert held at the Upper Level Youth Centre, Reverend Boissoin gave a speech during the time between two bands. He would not allow the show to go on until he was done speaking, but would not begin his speech until everyone was listening. Those who did not wish to hear his homophobic message were not allowed to step outside, but rather forced to sit on the floor while he preached from his elevated position on the stage.

After Mr. Boissoin had captured his audiences attention and realized they were under his control, he began spewing Bible quotes and facts from history. When Reverend Boissoin stated that in 1967, Pierre Trudeau changed the Criminal Code of Canada to relax laws against homosexuality, a young man near the back of the room began to clap.The other youth in the room applauded briefly, until they realized that Stephen Boissoin did not want them to clap. Upon this realization, they abruptly stopped clapping. This is proof that these poor, brainwashed youth really were not thinking for themselves that night, but rather just trying to fit in by pretending to believe the same thing they thought everyone else believed. They felt good about themselves because they were part of his lie.

Reverend Boissoin must be stopped before he does what Mao, Stalin and Hitler all did before him, create an army of youth who will obey every command he gives and believe every lie he tells.
