Subject: Christmas Dinner

So...my post about ideas for a "theme" went over really well...ZERO responses!

I guess I need to take matters into my own hands...so to speak. This is the plan...

I will make a turkey breast and for something a bit different, a beef brisket. I saw a really good recipe in a Williams and Sonoma recipe book in Wegmans...but didn't want to buy the whole book for the recipe. Therefore...Shawn I'm assigning you the task of finding me a good recipe! This one was a braised beef brisket in a wine sauce I believe.

Now, for the rest of you. It is wide open. I'm supplying the "meat". I challenge you to come up with different and unique side dishes that won't go the way of the waldorf salad. You can choose from appetizers...to veggies...to starch...to dessert (although I will have cookies and Stevers, sorry Laura, you're not getting off that easy!). First come, first serve. Meaning...we don't need 4 appetizers, or 4 salads! So please even out the food groups.

I was thinking of an "international" theme. But, we could expand this to the route of a regional theme...Karen...see what Billy can come up with :)

Get your thinking caps on...come up with something good and tasty! Reply to the message board with your intended "dish" no later than Monday morning.

Merry Christmas!
