[> Nope. We didn't get to go. Our Homecoming game was this weekend. We only got thru half time though. They were getting ready to start the 3 quarter when the announcer came over and said that the game was being delayed for 25 minutes due to a lightning strike within a 3 mile radius. They came back over the P.A. system 5 minutes later and said the game was called. It wasn't a district game so it didn't really matter anyways. The only big problem was that the team we were playing was 4-0 and we dropped them to 4-1. It was pretty bad to have to evacuate so fast. By the time we could get all of the kids in the car it was pouring. I've never seen the H.S. football stadium empty so quickly. Plus cancelling the game was a suprise since our school isn't known for cancelling. Sorry your gift is going to be late. I was hoping to bring you your gift at the pageant but after the night we had at the football game we all slept in too late. [> Hope you have a great weekend. I sure hope the kids let you get some rest with all you have to do. We are taking it easy this weekend. Our Gma is coming to visit. I think she is leaving Monday but I'm not sure. So, Do you and the kids celebrate Halloween? We celebrate as a family to make it a fun but not spooky or bad holiday. Some of us dress up and go out with the smaller ones trick or treating while others stay at the house and hand out candy. We always have the best house in the neighborhood since we always decorate and give out awesome goodies. In the year's past we had to make as many as 100-150 goody bags,and that was BEFORE we got involved with pageants,lol. Last year we handed out 4oz bags of cotton candy. By the time we could buy the stuff to make the goody bags we could buy something already packaged. Everyone always comes to our house but there have been times when we have run out. I'm glad I have someone tht likes to chat. We always take the little ones trick-or-treating while Grandpa hands out the goodies. We usually give the big size candy bars, so yes they love coming to our house too. LOL. We usually go to our Church's fall festival celebration too. Abriana is such a scardy-cat that anything remotely scary makes her upset.
