Boone: I've sure missed you Zeb. We don't hunt and fish like we used to no more.

Zeb: No, I haven't been able to get up here as much as I'd like to what with these hard times.

Boone: Bout the only thing I know up here is the time of day.

Zeb: No sirree, I have to keep my nose to the grindstone to help my son feed that big family of his.

Boone: Well when I wake in the morning I ask myself 'what am I going to do today?'

Zeb: (laughing) That's the glory of it Boone, the freedom to choose.

Boone: Yes sir. I say what do I want to do for myself today? Do I want to hunt? Do I want to fish? Do I want to cut timber or do I want to make a little whiskey? You know Zeb, I do just what pleasures me the most. Now how many fellers in this world can say that?

Zeb: Not many Boone. In all these days and years not many at all.
