My family is always teasing me about my love for The Waltons. Only one of my 5 older children has ever watched it with me and he enjoyed it but he he would never admit this to his siblings. My youngest is 18 and the only one still at home and he wanders into my room sometimes when I'm watching my DVDs and he finally admitted to me that it's a pretty good show, but he too will never admit to his siblings that he enjoys it.

A few days ago I was watching my grandchildren for a while and I was watching The Waltons and invited them to watch it with me. My son and his wife are EXTREMELY careful about what their 5 children watch and I was rolling on the floor laughing when the oldest one told me that he wasn't sure his parents would approve of them watching The Waltons! I didn't force the issue, but later on his parents were rolling on the floor laughing when I told them what happened. So now that they know it's okay to watch maybe someday soon I'll have a new generation of watchers at my house.
