Next week my husband and I will have been married 31 years. There can be no 50/50 stuff in marriage. You must both be ready to give 100 percent of yourself. It's not easy and that's why so many marriages today don't last. I get up every day and try to find some way to make my husband's day a little easier and he does the same for me. It doesn't have to be a big thing, little things like getting the coffee pot ready count, too. Selfishness in any form will doom a marriage.
