I'v been reading some of the "funny sayings" you have posted. I'm from rural Alabama and have heard many saying from my parents and grandparents over the years...and many time I catch myself saying them too.

"Full as a tick"
"It's colder than a well diggers shoes"
"Drunk as Cooter Brown"
"Finer than frog hair split 4 ways"
"He'd argue with a mile post"
When flabergated ..."Well, shut my mouth"
When it's raining and the sun is shining then "the devil is beating his wife with a frying pan"
and I still say "Scat" after someone sneezes...dunno why...hearing it for years from my Grandmother "trained" me to do it..lol
When driving, if we pass a field with a lot of cows and the majority are lying down....I'll say "It's gonna rain." That one was from my Grandpa...and most of the time that weather predictor works.
My favorite one from my Grandpa was "She fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down".

I could go on and on and on...
