I am overwhelmed! First by the wonderful gifts, then by the letter. Not only that, but the thought of having to reply as John Boy was very intimidating! I mean, sometimes Mr. Hamner reads our posts, very scary. I would never want to offend him. I do like to write and have always wanted to write a book. Everyone is being so encouraging I figure now is my time to do it. So I have one in the works. I will never be a great author. I am a story teller who also writes my stories down. In my own simple words. I have for years. That is one of the reasons Earl Hamner has always been my favorite author. When he speaks or you read his words you can see, feel, hear, almost taste what he is describing. Nothing fancy, just plain, simple words, anyone can understand, and one's that leave you feeling good inside. So, everyone's compliments of my effort to be John Boy are very special to me. As I said I am truly overwhelmed and inspired. Thank you all!
