Subject: For World War II buffs

Some of you know that I re-published my uncle's WWII memoir last November called Normandy to the Bulge. He did a pre-interview in the fall in anticipation of appearing on the Bob and Tom syndicated radio show out of Indianapolis. Shortly thereafter, he unfortunately lost his voice, and we learned that he had thyroid cancer. He had an 8-hour surgery, followed by complications, and has been in the hospital for a month. He's a toughie though, and just today he finally got moved to a rehab center. Hopefully he will be able to start radiation treatments. Since he can't speak, the radio show decided to air his story, and provide sound clips from the earlier interview.

His book is full of fantastic stories, but you can listen to two of them on this website. Scroll down to Richard Courtney's Incredible Story, turn your speakers up, and click on each of the Audio clips below. I had to click twice to make them start. It will make you proud to be an American.
