Chores-

I did all kinds of chores when I was growing up. It was something that was expected. "Every" Saturday there seemed to be another project that had to get done. My father loved flowers and flower beds. A lot of what we did with him centered around tending to the many flower beds. We had regular chores- washing dishes, setting the table, taking out the trash, cleaning house, helping with laundry, etc. The chore that I liked the least was filling the kerosine heater. When I was growing up- your help was a normal part of family life. When we did "extra" chores- sometimes we got a treat or a little bit of money. However, my parents believed that if you lived in their house and ate their food then you had to do chores. It created a good work ethic, there are times today when I don't like the work I am having to do; but, I do it and do it as unto the Lord.

Blessings, Don
