Subject: It's Better to be a Bahamian Swimmer........

The Bahamas CARIFTA Team is to be congratulated for the stellar performances that show swimming and water polo are moving in the right direction. I have been to several CARIFTA Swim Championships and this one by far was the best....not just in performances but in the athletes determination, focus, strategic swims and the positive energy that they got from encouraging and cheering each other on to do their very best. This TEAM was a TEAM.....from start to finish......the younger swimmers will have learned alot from the older swimmers at this championship as the senior swimmers were all determined to do their best in each and every swim.....forget the medals....when you go out in your event and leave your best in the pool....who can ask for more.....that is what we saw over and over again at these Championships.
The support team....and that means everyone who was there in Curacao for Team Bahamas was great....the swimmers and water polo athletes thank you all! They could not have done it without you......and those who were here at home and abroad watching the results and cheering from afar....we all thank you!
