Subject: I personally think that both Hal & their mother at the very least suspect who or what LJG is,........gone long>>>>>>

His mother made at least one comment in Blade that sort of alluded to the fact that she knows what John is like (I cant remember what or when, but I remember that it made me think she knows something). I think the scandal that sent him to Ardsmuir ,which Hal must have known about, being in military circles,{ havent read the other novellas}, would have been a pretty big clue. On a slightly different slant here; I know DG goes to great lengths to explain that LJG is not your typical um..... 'limpwristed' homosexual, portraying him as a very manly soldier etc.But (& I have absolutely no experience to draw from) well, wouldnt a mother just "know" if a son had 'gay' leanings? I remember when my daughter first started school, there were kids in her class that you just knew were 'different' from the others, and this is when they are 5 years old! Maybe it was different back then because the genders had such clearly defined roles that the whole 'freedom of expression' thing was suppressed & things like that were not allowed to become so 'obvious'?
