What the hell is a calibrated copy of a map? (some kind of made up amatuer version of professional digitial mapping). What do you calibrate it to NAD27, WGS 83, WGS 84, or are you talking about an overlaid digital map with UTM coordinates?

The latest version of Nat Geo Topo allows for downloading GPS information, from there you can cut and paste your back tracks. No, (uh) calibration needed (blank stare);)

Our version of softmap is not GPS capable and their files do not convert to any other files than their own. You can "Distill" a PDF though, and I suppose convert that to a jpg or other common file, but not "GEO TIFF" (you mac users);) Remember, no one cares about Canada when it comes to digital recreational mapping. The techno geeks tend to shy away from remote wilderness hiking, so maybe that crazy scanning of maps that you guys talk about on GLH may work here, but I have no patience for that.

So PDF is all I got? You want it? You Mac user you?

All in fun.
