Date Posted: 13:04:11 02/06/04 Fri In reply to: Cye 's message, "Re: *Amazed*" on 03:25:23 02/06/04 Fri ~+~*Nukara entered the room sometime during your conversation, and took a seat beside Kakrine. she smiled at Ashton.*~+~ Nukara- what are we? that all depends on how you look at us and those that are similar. simply put- we are Anthromorphic beings, who were gifted with the traits of both the bodies of humans, elves, or demons as well as some type of animal. ~+~*her dragon-fly wings twitched slightly.*~+~ Nukara- i am an Amarian Anthromorph- more specifically, one derived of Amarians and, in my case, Elves. an Amarian is a deer-like creature who is deceptively frail looking, with dragonfly type wings, and depending on gender, striped of orange or white. ~+~*she put her hand on her face, to make the black and white stripes more clear.*~+~ Nukara- as one of their kin, i can do anything that they can do- but i can also do anything that the Elves can do- such as fire a bow and arrow. we were first created as a means to draw the early races back to harmony with the creatures of the old world. we broke off into our own races shortly after. you would have to talk to different races to get specifics- but my particular race is near extinction. we were hunte down by Human and Elf alike for our wings (which supposedly blessed its keeper) and our eyes (which were put into medications). we protect this place, along with the Gryphons. ~+~*she glanced out the window.*~+~ Nukara- all of the Anthromorphic creatures here are kin to those that live in our forests and fields in the outside world. the Gryphons were first created here, that is why this is their chosen Sanctuary. they, not unlike some of the greater species, were born of the elements and spells working around them. the Quezacoatl.... they arrived but a year or two ago. brilliant golden serpents, with elegant wings- but to our dismay, telling them to vacate our city would likely get us all killed. they are well known, in pure blood lines, to eat anything that is competing for resources with them. they could swallow our largest Gryphons in two bites if they so chose to. Kakrine- its best to try not to think about it sometimes. i am here to see if it is possible to drive them away without killing anybody. as for the little Dragons--- ~+~*a small, green and blue dragon appeared in the palm of her hand with its tail wraped around her ring finger.*~+~ Kakrine- these are Pocket Dragons- aptly names by the person who first discovered them living in the bottoms of lakes. they are very adapt to living in and out of water. they were supposedly a plague released upon a world when they threw out their beliefs in their gods. after that, they found that they could live virtually anywhere- but all but those who lived in the sea were killed by predators. that is why they came here- they are making a strong come back. even if they were intended to kill, they are quite friendly, and harmless unless you mess with their eggs. ~+~*the little dragon vanished.*~+~ Nukara- if you are indeed here to stay for a while, may i make a suggestion? you should go down to the islands and seek the guardian there..... if you secure its blessing, you will be welcomed by virtually every person here- even those not present at the festival. as for me- you will be unable to contact me for a short period of time, as i am going to see my Kin. you are welcome to join me- it is a ritual of those of my heritage, but you would be most welcome. especially since you carry the mark of one blessed by the family taken to the Thean Silver. if you are willing to accompany me, i will meet you at the trail leading out. ~+~*she stood, and excused herself.*~+~ Kakrine- i will be going with her- you should come. the Amarians are very sweet once you get to know them. but ill warn you of one thing- they do not like to be cornered or feel threatened. do not approach ANY of them unless they come to you first. that is very important. you do not want to be on the recieveing end of any of their defenses, even if it is just one small filly. you probably already know this, but you can tell their defenses by looking at them.... some of the males that are larger will have very obvious antlers that are sharper than a dragons claws. those are the dominant males- avoid them all together. the younger males will often have spots on their wings- this means that their defense is sound. they create ear-splitting sounds, which HAVE been known to cause brains to explode, when they vibrate their wings while in flight. the rest of the males have a gland in their eyes that shoots very toxic solutions at those who are too close to them. the girls are a bit worse, actually. they manipulate the elements. you can tell their powers based on their wings. light blue is wind, deep blue is water, red is fire, green is earth, gray is stone, light violet is ice, white wings are light, and deep violet wings are shadow. colorless wings mean that they are blessed with all of the above- colorless wings with small markings at the bottom are also gifted with the males defenses- IE sound and poison. their defenses are better because they need to ward males off at breeding time (they pair for life, but will shoo suitors away if they do not like the match). they are also the ones who defend their habitats, as the males stay to defend the young and other creatures under their protection. dont think of it as being cruel to send the daughters and wives out- they are much more agile both in the air and on land, they are generally stronger, and they can combine their attacks to make one move stronger. very few have ever gotten killed in battle. ~+~*she smiled.*~+~ Nukara is one gifted with all of the defenses, that is why she is the races representative here.
