Tyrsis landed gently in the courtyard of Escalvone, garnet wings flickering bladed for half a second as the guard approached, then feathered again. His look was puzzled. She would have been taken down long before she had made it this far into the city if they had not recognized her, why should she be tense now?

"Is Damuthca home?"

He blinked at her lack of title, she never did that when she knew others were watching. He nodded. "An hour after you left this morning." It was only a few hours past noon now, her trip must not have been a long one. "He is in the..."

She turned away, already moving towards Damuthca's resting place. He had gone there for longer than she had truly known him, espescially after journeys he told no one he was going on before he had left. Silent hallways echoed her footsteps, taking them farther than she had truly gone. He would hear her long before he saw her coming.

How could Kami Dan'Shir be missing?
