"My case is simple. Eight thousand years, Myuler has lived, an immortal. Knowing that he will outlive all that he loves. and why? Because he loved, and because love is blind," Morpheus said softly, looking aurora squarely in the eyes. He didn't like having to make a case.

"I know this, for I know the dreams of mortals, and I know that Myuler deserves to live, from here on, as a mortal. No mortal should bear the strain of eternity," he said, looking over at Myuler, "Give him a few thousand years more, yes. Let him live like that, but remember, for eight thousand years, he has gone, hurting only in minor mischeif. But to what would he aspire? What keeps him sane, dear goddess? You would do this to him, for the love that he bore as an innocent child?"

Morpheus looked down and sighed. "Any mortal can make the same mistake. Don't punish him further, I beseech you, grant him a while more to live as mortal, to love as mortal. To love without fear of losing the one he loves," Finally, Morpheus looked at the goddess, "To be mortal, is to make mistakes, Aurora. If you did not wish him to love, and to make mistakes, even in love, why did you give him the ability to love?"
